Voices of Jericho: Stories of Jail Diverson (runtime 12:57) This is a short documentary that tells the story of three individuals who are clients of Shelby County’s Jericho Project, an innovative jail diversion program for people with serious mental illness.
True Story Pictures is currently raising funds to expand Voices of Jericho into a feature-length documentary. Our crew will document four individuals over the course of a year, introducing them when they are booked into jail and following them as they navigate their way out of the system, into mental health treatment, and hopefully towards recovery.

The Arts Interviews: A Short Compilation (runtime 4:38) This piece highlights artists who are featured in the multi-disc series The Arts Interviews. Like the longer compilation and the individual life story videos, this short film traces the lives of these artists from their early childhood to their careers in art, providing insight to the creative process and what it is like to live the life of an artist.
True Story Pictures has made a commitment to document the lives and creative work of at least three older, regional artists each year. These interviews preserve the artists’ perspectives on their own work, their personal experiences, and a valuable history of the arts and the greater Memphis area. This program is sustained with financial support from sales of the DVDs and donations from individuals like you.
