The Arts Interviews

This program was created to celebrate the lives and work of older regional artists through the on-going production and educational distribution of artist DVDs. This series of DVDs highlights the life stories of regional artists over age 60 who have made a significant impact on the Memphis community and in the art world.

The Arts Interviews DVDs are tailor-made to be used in the classroom, and we have collections available for middle and high schools, after-school programs, colleges, universities, and libraries. The DVDs each have a personal video interview with the artist, which is edited into short segments so it can be shown during class time. They also feature slide shows of the artists’ creative work and a teacher’s guide including questions for leading classroom discussion and student writing exercises.
